Arrivаl to Almaty International Airport. City tour - introduction to Almaty's history. Visit to the Ascension Cathedral – the second tallest wooden structure in the world which is the creation of a renowned Russian architect A. Zenkov. This church is one of the few buildings which survived the earthquake of 1911. Nearby is situated the so called Alley of Presidents where the trees are planted by presidents of different countries. Later visit to the Square of 28 Panfilov Heroes, the grandious monument to General Panfilov and his division of the Second World War. Also you will visit the Glory Memorial dedicated to the heroes of the Civil War and the Second World War.

Later visit to superb Museum of Musical Instruments with big collection of traditional musical instruments of Kazakhstan and different nations of the world. After museum visit to the a Green Bazaar - a real oriental market.

Later visit to the main square of Almaty – the Republic Square with Independence Monument and the Golden Man Statue. After lunch departure for to Medeo, which is an outdoor ice rink up on the mountains on the south-eastern outskirts of Almaty and one of the most famous in the world. It has witnessed over 150 world contests of speed-skating. Nearby is located the Medeu Dam. It was built in the late 1960s, to protect Almaty from mud flows. This is a place to see the beauty of nature of surrounding mountains, panoramic sight.

Return to Almaty for a dinner. Enroute one can see Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Parliament House.

At 10:10 p.m. tranfer to Railway Station for a night train to Shymkent (025T). Each compartment is for 4 people. Overnight in train

Arrival to Shymkent at 9:25 a.m. After breakfast visit to a local bazaar for photography!

Later drive to Turkestan (160 km) which is famous with historical monuments and a rich history for a full day sightseeing. Visit to historical-architectural complex of Azret-Sultan and Mausoleum of Khodja Akhmed Yassavy - the founder of Yassaviya Sufic Order. The mausoleum of Khodja Akhmed Yasavi, was built by Timur the Great from 1389 to 1405 and it is one of the most important, outstanding and best-preserved monuments of the Timurid period. Later visit to Turkistan necropolis, oriental hammam (bath-house) and underground mosque. Overnight in hotel.

Morning drive to Shymkent. Enroute visit to famous Arystan Bab mausoleum, built over the grave of a famous Sufy mystic of XII century Arystan Bab. The mausoleum dates back to the XIV-XVIII cc. It is one of the rare monuments of medieval period in Kazachstan built of fired bricks. Afternoon arrival in Shymkent. Overnight is a guesthouse.

After breakfast a full day tour to Aksu Jabagly Natural Park, located in the western Tien-Shan. The total territory of reserve is 74,4 thousand hectares. It is the first natural reserve in Kazakhstan and Central Asia founded in 1926. This reserve has all climatic belts of Central Asia from semi-deserts to glaciers. The reserve has unique kinds of endemic plants growing on its territory. The Aksu river canyon is considered one of the deepest canyons in Central Asia. Tour includes hiking in the canyon and a picnic-lunch. Dinner and overnight in guesthouse.

Morning drive to Shymkent for flight to Astana. Upon arrival to Astana - city tour. Visit to complex «Astana – Baiterek» which comprises the unique construction symbolising Astana. Observation platform is on the height of 97 meters from where one can see the panorama of a new capital of Kazakhstan. Later visit to the Alley of Singing Fountains which consists of three-level gallery type construction with two pavilions, glass transition-passes, open galleries, green lawns, colorful sidewalks and huge bowls with fountains. Dinner at 7 p.m. Overnight in hotel.

Morning drive to the airport for international flight.
